This is a preliminary timeline of some of the effects of the Operation Condor and the military regimes in the Southern Cone and in film.
A considerable difference becomes noticeable in this timeline: the time span between the dictatorship and the production of mainstream national films about the situation is quite different between Argentina and Chile.
